Loving it.

I really liked playing with dolls when I was younger. Can you tell? I love, love, love baby clothes. I tried this outfit on her for the first time today and I just had to take a picture. It's a whole set with matching t-shirt, ruffled cami, pants and hat. We got it as a gift and I have to admit it looks pretty ugly on the hanger. I finally decided to try it on her today and just about died from cuteness overload.

If I had known I would have put it on her for our lunch with Liz P. yesterday - mmmm, Poboys at Gene's. Instead, she wore it to the baby expo thing we went to this morning. It was a lot better than the last one we went to, due in great part I'm sure to the fact that we showed up minutes after opening on the first day. We scored some fantastic designer brand baby attire and some toys that looked brand new. I also got a new sling and a bundle me. I wanted to call my preggers friends and tell them, but I think they've both had all the advice they can take.

She is cutter than a cupcake, but maybe just a bit too much pink for my taste. Luckily I am coming to town soon to do a bit of gender neutralizing. As you know I don't want my only niece to be constricted by any gender roles ;).

You'll be happy to know that I didn't buy any pink clothing yesterday. This is very hard to do. About 90% of the clothing for baby girls is pink. I'm this close to buying clothes for her in the boys department.

No gender constriction here. Once she's old enough to tell me what she wants to wear, she can wear whatever she wants. Unless she wants to shop at one of those tween slut stores, in which case, yes there will be some gender role constriction. But if she says she doesn't want to wear dresses or wear pink, I won't make her. Or if she only wants to wear dresses or wear pink or glitter or a tiara, that's cool with me too.

In the meantime, I don't think it really matters what color I dress her in. I just like green better than pink because it goes better with her coloring.

Is it my imagination, or does Sweet Pea's cuteness grow exponentially on a daily basis? Gah!
